Nalari Tome

From: Sero sub-village, Ololosokwan

Nalari lives with her family in a small home that they built out of mud, sticks, and cow dung. They live in Sero - a remote part of Ololosokwan located on the side of a large hill. She has seven children, two girls and five boys, of which one of them is in school. The family also has a herd of 5 cows. When she is able, she also goes to the market to sell small commodities, like tobacco.

Nalari says that in the past, her family had many hardships that caused her and her husband to argue. They were struggling, but since she started working with Maasai Honey, she has been able to support her family and now they are doing well. In terms of work activities, Nalari especially likes to make soap and skin salves, using the beeswax from the hives. She is hopeful that the project can keep growing!
