Aziz Zombe

Zombe is a trained beekeeper from Mkuranga, in the coastal region of Tanzania. He studied beekeeping at the Beekeeping Training Institute in Tabora and following his studies, has applied his beekeeping knowledge to a variety of settings. He has worked in the beekeeping sector of the Tanzanian military and also with private organizations, conducting group trainings in beekeeping and honey production.

He has worked with Maasai Honey since 2017. During his first two years, he resided in the remote village of Kipamba, providing beekeeping trainings to the Hadzabe tribe. He now travels intermittently to follow up with the Kipamba beekeeping group, but primarily works with the Maasai Honey beekeeping team in Ololosokwan Village. He is a motivated, hard-worker, who is truly passionate about beekeeping. Aside from working with the bees, Zombe also enjoys conversing with people and playing games like soccer, cards, and checkers. In 2019 he was married and he now has one daughter.
